TABVAR has been supporting route development in the Bow Valley since 1994. To distribute the funds in the most effective and fair method possible we have developed the following guidelines.
In response to our communities' generous donations we have raised the annual funding limit to $1,500 for routes with wedge anchors and to $1,750 for routes with glue-ins.
First, ensure you have read the Funding Guidelines:
To submit your route and claim, first click New Route Claim Form, and let it make a copy (if you've already done this, you can find any existing copies in Google Sheets.
To complete your submission, do the following:
Change the title to include your name.
Fill the form in as per the instructions and example provided.
Put together a detailed route description or a topo including approach information (.pdf is preferred); this information is required for us to process your claim.
Email your completed form and the topo/description of the climbs to the address provided in the form.
You should get a note confirming we've received your claim within 2 weeks (or sooner if we're not off on a climbing trip)

Have you encountered damaged or missing hardware on a local climbing route? Let the community know using app.tabvar.org/issues/create. For loose nuts on bolts, consider carrying a small wrench so you can tighten hardware as required.
Please note. All route maintenance is done by community volunteers. TABVAR collects and distributes this info only as a service to the community and does not guarantee that any issues reported will be dealt with in a timely issue.
